WHAT IS PAINTLESS DENT REMOVAL? (PDR)
Paintless dent removal (or repair), is a method of removing dents in a car's body without using body filler or paint. Usually, a technician will access the back side of the damaged panel and slowly reshape it to its original state using special PDR tools and techniques. If accessing the back side of the panel is impossible or isn't time-effective, a glue pull repair method can be used. With this method, the technician will use hot glue to attach plastic tabs to the dent and pull it out, using various tools. Often, a combination of both methods is used to achieve the best result.
WHAT TYPE OF DENTS CAN BE REPAIRED?
The location and depth of the dent are the most significant factors that affect our ability to repair it.
Shallow dents, even if they are large, can be repaired but, in some cases, even a very small, deep dent cannot be fixed.
The location of the dent may mean that it cannot be repaired with PDR, especially if it's in a heavily braced area.
